Dr. Muaweih Ababneh brings over 30 years’ experience in anesthesia and pain management as well as successfully setting up and running healthcare education programs, an area that he is particularly passionate about. Dr. Ababneh founded the training program for Residency in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine for both Arab and Jordan Boards, with excellent pass record at Jordan Hospital. The program graduates are working in the UK, Germany and most of the Arab world.

 

Dr. Ababneh has served for 15 years as Jordan Board examiner and 4 years as President of the examination committee of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Jordan Medical Council. He also set up an affiliation program with Southampton General University Hospital for post Board Cardiac Anaesthesia fellowship program. He was a member of the surgery examination committee and founder of the ethical committee for research at Jordan Hospital.

 

His broader education interests include being a reviewer of Royal Medical Services Medical Journal. On the international front, Dr. Ababneh served as Representative of Middle east and north Africa (MENA) in the World Federation of Anaesthesiologist in Resuscitation, Trauma and Intensive Care Medicine for 5 years. He is currently an active member of the Engagement focus group of the Royal College of Anaesthetist’s (London), to improve its services, with particular focus on international best practice exchange.
