Dr Bisher Kawar FRCP(London), MD, MB BS, is a practicing Consultant Nephrologist. He qualified from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, and completed his specialist training in Sheffield, including a postgraduate research doctorate degree (University of Sheffield).
He has held a number of senior administrative positions, including Quality and Clinical Governance Lead and Clinical Director of the Sheffield Kidney Institute.
He has also held a number of roles in medical education, including Training Programme Director for Nephrology (Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber), Deputy Director of Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education (Sheffield Teaching Hospitals), Associate Professor, and Head of Internal Medicine Division (Balqa Applied University). He is a certified international examiner for the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
