Our Services

Our IVF center provides those following services:

Semen Analysis

The department provides the service of checking the sperm motility, concentration, and normal forms.

DNA fragmentation Test

The sperm is examined for DNA fragmentation in cases of repeated IVF failures and miscarriages, then the physician advises for the best solution if the sperm has DNA fragmentation.

Intra-uterine insemination (IUI)

IUI is the best solution in cases of unexplained infertility and suboptimal male factor, which includes inseminating the husband’s sample inside the womb to bring the sperm closer to the egg. The sample is treated in a special way to obtain the best quality sperm that can fertilize the egg

Egg (oocyte) Retrieval

The patient is given ovarian stimulation medications for a planned period of time under the consultant’s supervision so as to increase the number of eggs that can be obtained.

The eggs are aspirated under light sedation and vaginal ultrasound guidance then incubated for a couple of hours to be inseminated later.

Conventional IVF

This method is used in non-male factors or blocked tubes. The treated husband’s sample is inseminated around the eggs. Then eggs are checked daily for fertilization on the next day and embryo development for three to five days.

ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection).

In cases of low sperm motility and low sperm count, or in cases of azoospermia (no sperm ejaculated); the best treatment can be for couples using the ICSI technique (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection). This technique helps in injecting one sperm inside the egg using high magnification.

Then the eggs are placed in an advanced incubator that mimics the same conditions of women’s womb.

Embryos are checked daily; the best ones are chosen for transfer to the patient and others are kept for freezing.

Embryo transfer

Embryos are transferred under the ultrasound guidance to make sure that they are placed in the right place to increase the implantation rate.

Embryo, sperm and egg freezing

Our IVF center provides the service of embryo freezing in cases of excess number of embryos and can be stored in liquid nitrogen for some years.

The survival rate of thawing and the success rate of pregnancy in frozen embryos transfer are very high.

The cycle of frozen embryo transfer is easier since the medications used are normal pills and no sedation or anesthesia are applied, in addition to lower cost than the fresh cycle.

Also Eggs can be frozen in cases of patients about to undergo chemotherapy and for helping the patient to save their future fertility before marriage.

Sperm can be stored also in cases of patients who are about to start chemotherapy since the production of sperm could be affected in the future. It also helps if the husband cannot be present at the time of IVF treatment.

Pre-implantation genetic Diagnosis (PGD)

This is the most advanced technique available to help families test the embryos genetically before transferring them.

This technique could be a solution for couples suffering from recurrent miscarriages or IVF failures or families carrying certain diseases (on chromosome and gene level). Therefore, embryos with healthy conditions can be transferred back only.

This technique can be used in cases of family balancing as well, to choose certain gender under certain restrictions and conditions.

The study can be performed on embryos with day three or day five.

Laser Assisted Hatching:

This technique is used on embryos to increase the chance of implantation where a small opening is performed on the outer shell of embryo with laser to help to hatch outside the shell.

This technique has no harm on the embryo and is offered on cases of frozen embryos, repeated failure, thick zona pellucida (the outer shell), or advanced age.

Microdissection surgery on azoospermic patients.

10% of couples suffer from azoospermia (no sperm in ejaculate), so advanced surgical biopsies are performed under surgical microscopes on testes to obtain the tissue. Deep and long searches are done, to look for sperm and inject them inside the eggs.

This kind of operation needs significant expertise, knowledge, and patience.
