Abdali Hospital Hosts Gaza Sunbirds in Support of Strength, Hope, and Para-Athletic Empowerment

Amman – Abdali Hospital proudly welcomed the Gaza Sunbirds, the para-cycling team from Gaza, in a special event held this morning where we heard about purpose, and determination, overcoming adversity. The team represents an inspiring model of athletic achievement despite immense challenges, as it includes athletes who lost limbs due to injuries from conflict, yet transformed their pain into a powerful drive for sporting and human accomplishment.

During the visit, the team members met with a number of Abdali Hospital’s administrators, physicians, and staff, where they were warmly received. The session highlighted the remarkable story behind the team’s establishment and its meaningful mission to support and empower para-athletes in Palestine and provide them with opportunities to be part of the global sports community. The Gaza Sunbirds delivered a brief speech at the hospital’s main auditorium, expressing their gratitude for the warm welcome and support.

Abdali Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to supporting humanitarian and athletic initiatives that reflect values of perseverance, hope, and community responsibility delivering excellent accessible healthcare.
