Breast Imaging radiology Specialist

Job Summary

To work as a doctor in the hospital and offers medical service according to the best local and international standards within scientific and practical recognized references. To make effort to effectively participate in the hospital’s work development which guarantees the hospital’s upgrading to the best scientific and professional practices, so that the hospital meets the JCI requirements or
any other standards the hospital seeks and conserves those standards on the best level. Reports the films/images, consults with other radiologists on special cases, adheres to the by-laws, rules and regulations, and performs all examinations with proper safety precautions, infection control and radiation precautions for the protection of Department personnel .  Explain to the patient clearly the procedure to be done.  Performs any other tasks and duties asked by the Chairman.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reports films/images with utmost precision and conciseness based on clinical history and images obtained.
  • Reports the films/images in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with the Chairman of the Radiology Department on matters that affect the overall operation and patient care service of the department. 
  • Adheres to the by-laws, rules and regulations of the AMC.
  • Adhere to proper safety precautions, infection control and radiation precautions for the protection of Department personnel and patients. 
  • Explains to the patient clearly the procedure to be done, its complications, if any, alternative examinations, what to expect after the procedure, etc.  Answers clearly all questions that the patient may have about the examination. 
  • Acquire the signature of the patient on the necessary consent forms for special procedures after explaining the procedure to the patient and that the patient fully understood everything.
  • Makes himself/herself available for the radiology procedures.
  • Performs any other tasks and duties appropriate to his/her realm of knowledge, skills and experience as required.
  • Supervisory of different radiological examinations as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine. 

  • Registration at Jordan Doctors Association.

  • License to practice Medicine in Jordan.

  • Has the Jordanian or Arab Board radiology certificate.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a breast imaging radiologist.

  • Has a well recognized breast imaging training in a reputable center.

  • Can do both mammograms and breast ultrasound.

  • Willing to work from 3:00 PM -8:00 PM daily.
