Maternal and Fetal Medicine Unit

The Abdali Hospital Maternal and Fetal Medicine Unit offers diagnosis and treatment of complications that may arise in unborn babies. We offer the following services: 

• Genetic Counselling
• Non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPNT)
• Invasive diagnostic tests:
• Amniocentesis
• Chorionic villous sample (CVS)
• Umbilical cord blood (Cordocentesis)
• Fetal transfusions
• Fetal Scanning:
• 1st Trimester scan (NT Scan) 11-13 weeks
• 2^nd Trimester scan ( Anomaly scan) 20-22 weeks
• 3^rd Trimester scan (Growth scan) After 28 weeks
• Fetal Echo Scan and fetal therapy in Uter
• Management of: Monochorionic twins, fetal growth-restricted babies, history of pre-term labor, abnormal placentation
• Management of high-risk pregnancies
• Management of multiple pregnancies.

We work with a large team of specialists, including Neonatologists, clinical geneticists, pediatric surgeons, physicians, pediatric cardiologists, and specialized nurses.
