Senior Accountant

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing all accounting functions of Abdali subsidiaries and assigned accounting responsibilities for Abdali Hospital, ensuring all financial activities are performed accurately, timely, and in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting activities for Abdali subsidiaries and assigned accounting functions of Abdali Hospital, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure the integrity of financial records.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and within established deadlines.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, and variance analyses for assigned entities and business units.

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, intercompany balances, accruals, prepayments, and other balance sheet accounts.

  • Responsible for preparing vendor and service provider payment requests, ensuring accuracy of supporting documents, proper authorization, timely processing, and compliance with company policies and payment procedures.

  • Monitor and maintain fixed asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and periodic physical verification. 

  • Review revenue and expense transactions to ensure proper classification and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

  • Prepare schedules and documentation required for internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and applicable financial reporting standards.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory, tax, and governmental reports as required.

  • Monitor intercompany transactions and ensure timely reconciliation and settlement of intercompany balances.

  • Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Coordinate with operational departments to resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Support cash flow management by monitoring receivables, payables, and other financial obligations when assigned.


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Up to 7 years of experience of relevant experience in Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge in IFRS and advanced Excel.
  • Familiar with ERP system.
